before you all bring out your pitchforks i just want to say one thing

i understand…

as far as iv'e noticed read and heard religion is not necessarily a cult or group of people believing in a higher power it is more of a how you say? scapegoat

our purpose on this planet is not clear we live, we breed, we die, however many of us cannot accept that and because of that we have created gods because knowing we were created by an all powerful being makes us feel safer than if we were created by happen chance. gods are symbols of hope and for that the whole argument of which god is better and why is ultimately pointless because why would you crush someone else's hope and convince them your's is right however i do understand the zealots out there…

i was getting off topic but my point is that we need hope, we need that security and finally we need to respect that

for those that read and want to be civil in the comments please tell me what you think and please no Excessive language in the comments im but a thoughtful agnostic

  1. St. John O’Rorke says:

Our purpose? what about your purpose.Your personal journey, your path.Once you know thyself you begin to know others.I`m not sure we need hope,in my personal opinion, we need air water and food.Hope is a luxury. Also how do you know we live, we breed, we die? Living is just a word,as breeding, and dying, what are we really doing? lets look deeper than the words.Sure lets respect peoples hopes, i agree, but im trying to go deeper, for example why do we need hope, why cant we cut away this NEED. Thats really man made, hope is a feeling,so its similar to hate, love, anger,we dont NEED those either, love is nice, its wonderful, but we dont NEED it.
    do we?
