Posted by Anonymous on 2013/03/25 under Uncategorized I moved back home with my parents in August 2012. Things have been going okay, not too many complaints. But yesterday, I was floored… I wanted to go to an area a couple blocks North of Hyde Park with my friend for his studio session. When my parents found out that was where I was going they said that’s a dangerous area and my mom flipped a s***. In my opinion, EVERYWHERE is dangerous! People have been shot in the movie theaters and grocery stores. I was going there in broad day light from 3-5pm! We weren’t going to linger outside. We aren’t up to anything bad. We get out of the car and walk in the building! I am so frustrated that when I want to go out, I have to tell them where I’m going and who I’m going with! I AM 25!!! I realize I’m using their cars and living under their roof, so their rules apply, but damn, can we let me be an adult!?!?!? Can we tell me that I need to be safe and make sure I’m alert since the area I’ll be in is dangerous, instead of going off on me and trying to make me feel horrible???? I f***ing hate that s***. I lived in Saint Louis for 6 years and you all didn’t know where I was or what I was doing on a daily basis! WHY IS IT DIFFERENT NOW?!?!? This is all just motivation to get into school and get done so I can start my career and have my own…sigh
