What happens if your dreams don’t come true no matter how much you try? What happens if something, whether it is your intelligence or your low self-esteem/low self-confidence, is keeping you from moving on and making progress on your goals? It has always been said that no dream is unobtainable if you try hard enough. It has been said that if you try hard, it pays off. In reality, this does not exist. Obstacles appear left and right, some that you can control and others you cannot. What then? We try to make the best of life? How can you do this if everyone around you is succeeding and you are doing the opposite. This is a reflection from a recent college graduate, going through some sort of quarter life crisis.
I want someone to tell me too.
Life can’t be planned. Life IS what you make it, but not just in the sense that you work hard and everything works out, because life isn’t fair. Moving forward isn’t just dealing with what you expect, its also reacting to what is thrown at you. Don’t get me wrong, I say this while I am having the same problems myself. It is much easier said than done. I hope this at least helps you understand that things aren’t hopeless. Just roll with the punches, and keep on moving forward
