There were no kisses, there were no tears, there was only encouragement, friendship, and then nothing. How many times do I look into the eyes of the incredible woman vying for my affection only to wish you wouldn’t have picked the guy who cheated on you, who belittled you, who didn’t serve you as if he loved you? How is it possible for me to have accepted the fact so peacefully, and yet I still cannot get you off my mind? You are the one I wanted to walk through this life with. I did all that I could to chase after your heart of gold, but was found wanting in the end. I trust and pray your heart is content with him, or that one day my time will come. If it does, never again will I let you walk out of my life.
