Posted by Anonymous on 2012/06/20 under Uncategorized I’m not trying to prove that religion is reliable or that god is real. No no, i’m not one of those overwhelming Christian die hards who will say anything to defend God. I’m just a regular kid with a skull full of creativity and curiosity, wondering why someone would want to believe the mundane over the extravagant. I am one of the only kids at my school who believe in God and i constantly have to listen to a****** atheists going on about how religion is the stupidest thing in the world because its just an impossible lie, and its pointless and it causes war. I don’t know about all that, but i do know why I choose to believe, instead of disclaim, a reality far greater and more interesting, than the plain factual reality we know of. If humans cant prove either perspective to be the accurate reality, why would you ever want to support the more boring reality? It seems, to me, like you guys are trying to believe the logical answer just so that when you die and find out that your answer was right, you can tell all the religious people “i told you so!”. Why does being wrong matter to you so much. I would still choose to be religious after dying, finding out that there’s no God, then coming back to life; This is because even if there is no God, I’d rather believe a false yet interesting reality than a true yet boring one. Whether you’re right or wrong doesn’t matter in the end.
