And when she had her birthday what did you buy or made her? Was it something special with a meaning or just something simple? I mean if it had a meaning it would mean something right? Like you want to say you love but instead of telling her you give her a present, which kind of say that.

Well she gave me nothing and I gave a one of a kind necklace.
Yours are simple questions that are actually difficult to answer. It will always depend on how emotionally developed the relationship is.
For instance, there are presents I have been given by people I love that I still remember, even though it was 10 years ago and the present in itself has already gone.
So, I guess my answers to your questions are:
1) Once I love her, I would remember anything she did for me and that had a special meaning, be it a gift or an action.
2) I generally present those who I love with both a gift and a special thing, for instance, I once presented my best friend with a set of gifts that she badly wanted and I prepared the box in a way she would have a little surprise each time she found a new item.
3) For me, love is more actions and less words. It is the taking care of the other when they need, but are afraid to confess their needs to you; is the staying together despite mistakes and transgressions; is the passion that unravels day after day and makes the other be more and more beautiful at each glance. It is something you experience and try your best to make the other experience the same.
