I, too, wish to draw. I got a talent in drawing and I was drawing things since an early age. When I got to teenage, I and a classmate made a comics book together. We passed that to another school and we got so famous there. As a result, their school magazine wanted to interview us. Me and my friend were so happy. And I told the news to my mother, thinking she would congratulate me. Instead, she didn’t allow me to go to the interview. On the day of the interview, when I was prepared to go with my friend, she appeared in my school to stop me. How utterly stupid that was. Since then, I was not allowed to draw. I could have made a very good illustrator. I could have published my graphic novel. But all because she didn’t allow me to draw. Strangely, now part of my job is to help illustrators. Maybe it’s another way that life tells me I can do something for them even though I myself can’t draw.
