Posted by Anonymous on 2014/12/21 under Uncategorized where do I start?! right, I’m a past foster kid. But i’m thinking of just cutting the cords of contact with most of my blood relatives. I have to spend Christmas with some of them, and thinking it will be the last visit. They have never really been there for me when times were tough, when placements were breaking down, moving homes, or they weren’t supportive when sh!te hit the fan, when mum tried to commit suicide, didn’t hear from them when my biological dad died. Oh BTW, yeah, I’m the scapegoat of the “family”.
I don’t always see my birth “family”/blood relatives.
I don’t talk to most of them.
I don’t see them as “family”.
Just people I’ve to put up with sticking their nose in my business constantly.
My longest foster family placement is who I consider real family.
And I am at the point in my life now just to delete my blood relatives from FB and everything.
