I have no money (my fault) and my mom is too weak to drop him. I’m writing this because while I can’t get out of my situation, I damn well can speak about it. To the abused. The children who dreamed of having a family that cared for them, that saw the people in the movies and shows and found real life wasn’t exactly like that. For the people trying their hardest to move out, trying to complete school or even just live life with the constant cloud of hatred coming from your parent(s), know that you’re not alone. Know that whatever they tell you, whether they’re right or not, that nobody deserves to go to sleep nervous. Nobody deserves to wake up every morning not knowing if you’re going to have to fight your parents. Nobody deserves to lay their head down, knowing that any time in the middle of the night, they might have to wake up and defend themselves in their own home. Nobody deserves it, but it’s what you got. You’re gonna have to deal with it. Your parents are insane, okay? And whatever they say, don’t believe them. Brush it off. You can’t let them hold you back from moving on with your life, you can’t let the stress prevent you from studying. Getting through this will make you a better person, you just have to survive long enough to get out. I’m proud of you, alright? If your parents won’t say it then I will.
