All I want is fair treatment. All I want is for my stepdad to like me. When he says not to date, I don’t. But, he never tells my step brother not to date. When I went to homecoming last year, he said I was desperate for love, and didn’t talk to me 3 days before homecoming and the day of. Yet, my brother is going this year. And what does he say? Nothing. He’s fine with it. Because he’s not “desperate.” My step dad says he can’t trust me after having an abusive boyfriend in 8th grade. I’ll be 18 on Tuesday. I want to move past that. I’ve been trying. And for some reason he can’t. He never stops bringing it up and triggering me. I want to genuinely love someone, but I’m not allowed to. My self-esteem is dropping more and more with this whole situation with my brother. I feel like a piece of garbage that nobody wants to pick up. You know it’s there, but it’s too gross to deal with so you let it be. I feel so alone. I just wish my step dad would treat us fairly. That’s all I want. I want to be the person I’m meant to be. Strong, brave, caring, and happy.

Im sure he he cares about you, he must really just not want you to get hurt again. I get some of your feelings, and I don’t like them either. Im feeling stressed out because of my mom at this point and its not the best feeling. Anyway I hope it turns out well for you!<3
