So, on top of the outrage and disgust that a lot of people were feeling, there was also a lot of misunderstanding. Because Kim Hyun Joong is SO WELL know as shy, a lot of people were un-sure how to feel. It was more a case of, “This person seems to nice, why would they do this? It’s so un-like them” A lot of people spoke out, about how he is the worst sort of person on earth, and he is horrible and should just hang his head in shame and never to act or sing again. It’s a huge case that’s currently on-going and a lot of drama(no pun intended) has blown up about it. After Kim Hyun Joong paid a settlement fee to Ms. “Choi”, the couple got back together for a brief period of time, before once again breaking up. During that time, Ms. “Choi” fell pregnant again. She is due to deliver in September 2015. I am a Kim Hyun Joong fan, so my opinion is going to be bias(again, no pun intended). There is also a lot of speculation as to weather her claim of abuse was ever true, as well as a claim on a miscarriage pregnancy in 2014. A lot of people are doubting her. Kim Hyun Joong enlisted in the army to serve his 2 years in May 2015 (mandatory service is required of all Korean born men, and he tried to re-negotiate his service date, but was unsuccessful). After a few months of service, Kim Hyun Joong’s legal team (acting on his behalf) has now petitioned a lawsuit against Ms. “Choi”, for blackmail, libel and fraud. The hearing is set for late September (after the due date of the pregnancy), so as not to cause stress to Ms. “Choi”during her pregnancy. And that is where it is at this moment. That’s just my opinion.
When the media became aware of this, people where of course shocked.
People natural reaction to such a case is disgust, and rightly so, but Kim Hyun Joong, is know to be a VERY introverted singer/actor. He is uncomfortable with intimacy and display of affection, and is known for his shyness during interview’s and such.
In 2014 Ms. “Choi” (as she is being refereed to by media) reported to the police that Kim Hyun Joong, physically assaulted her which lead to alleged bruising and a miscarriage (the baby was reported to be Kim Hyun Joong’s).
Ms “Choi” has not yet provided evidence of her continued pregnancy.
In early February she provided ultrasound pictures, but she is yet to provide an up-dated picture of the current weight and size of the baby. This is leading a few hard-core fans to be really suspicious, including myself.
Days before his enlistment date, Ms. “Choi” lawyers petitioned a lawsuit against Kim Hyun Joong, for assault (the same assault that has already been settled)
Kim Hyun Joong’s legal team, have also stated that they believe that Ms. “Choi” is a flight risk, and should be not allowed to travel until the legal case is concluded.
Like I said, I am a Kim Hyun Joong fan, so my opinion is bias.
Do I think he guilty of assault? No.
Do I think she is pregnant? Maybe, it is possible.
Do I think she is guilty of blackmail? Yes.
