I have two children one whom is not mine but I love like my own( I do not like the term step child but that is what she is). All I ever wanted out of life was a country home that I could raise them at. Instead I have a double wide trailer in the city that is not enough room for me my husband, daughter and son. Yes we have a few pets but nothing to outrageous. My children are not city people they want to hunt camp fish and be outside. They can’t do that here.
So here starts the complaint. I love my family and my husband and I work full time jobs plus overtime. We still can not afford our bills. We do not have cable, no Internet at the house just our phones. We watch movies that we have collected over the years. We don’t hardly ever go out to eat, if we do it is a special occasion. We have tried hard at not being in debt we have no credit cards our car was bought with cash we saved ( yes we only have one vehicle). We do own our trailer out right. So no payment there either like the vehicle. Yet still again here I am to tell you yes we still live paycheck to paycheck can only pay our bills when we get paid they are normally late and we normally get a disconnect notice every month. These are necessity bills gas electric lot rent. Other than that it is food and gas to get us back and forth from work. We can not afford to make trips to places no vacations. We are not lazy people but we already sacrificeso much time at work that we feel like we are not raising our Children. My mom watchs our son while we work and our teenage girl works and goes to school she also saved money up and bought her vehicle. She is still in high school. My mom is disable and can not work but she helps me raise our son and I am thank ful for that cause we can not afford daycare. We also can afford insurance of any kind not car insurance not health insurance not life insurance and no home owner insurance either. So here is my promblem two hard working Americans who can only barley afford to live. We can get a fine for no car insurance we will be getting fined for not having health insurance soon. So because we are broke we will now be even more broke and have fines and penalties on top of that. Here is the real kicker we make to much for any of the programs that other people can use and that some take advantage of that are supposed to be out there to help. If the situation gets much worse we will lose everything soon. If the car breaks or anything happens to one of us and we get sick and can not work it will happen sooner than later.
I am not sure how we are supposed to raise productive children when we can not get ahead and have to have some one else raise them. All I ever wanted was a family and a home and happiness I don’t need to be rich I just want to be able to provide for my family. I also want to be able to raise them an teach them morals. Some how this is just ok to the politician in the world the rich get richer and well the poor will just die off. I guess it is survival of the fittest but I thought that we were strong but the more I look around I was born into a middle class family who could only afford college for one of there 4 kids and I was not the one who got to go. So really what it really is that I was born into the wrong family along time ago and so was my husband. Not sure how to fix this cause I never knew as a kid that this was how our country worked. We might as well be living with kings and knights and my family is peasants and will always be cause we are not part of a family that already has that title. How am I supposed to teach my children to work hard and they will get rewarded when that is not what happens here. You work hard for some one else of a higher class to get richer. So I am asking if any one out there care enough to speak out and tell me how I can help the situation so my children don’t have to feel this way and can do something so they can raise there Children better. So eventually they can have a quality of life and not just work all the time never see there family or never having one cause they can’t afford it.
