Every time I have interest in a guy, every time they meet her, it’s like I am invisible. It sucks. How could I ask someone to give up on what they think is better and want them to be with something they don’t want the most? She is prettier than I am, cooler than I am, nicer than I am, more talented in art, singing, danging. I don’t blame them for wanting her. But it’s hard. It feels like there is no one out there that would ever choose me. Like I said, I don’t blame them. You should go for what you think you deserve and want, so why not go for the best? But it’s always just so aggravating and maddening. and since I know these people I have to try and help them through their heart break every time she turns one down. I don’t want them to pick me as a second choice. I want to be the one they see and want to be with. I have so many flaws, but I just want someone to love me through all my bull s***, accept me for who I am, and love me like I have seen men love my best friend. I am at the point of giving up and just dedicating my self to work and one day a house full of animals. I can’t just keep competing against the unbeatable.

Do not compare yourself to anyone else. You are beautiful too. And one day there will be a man who looks past your best friend and her beauty on the outside, and looks straight at you, with your golden heart and amazing personality. And hey, I bet you are simply stunning on the outside too. Be yourself and do not try to be like anyone else. Because there is only one you. And that’s something your best friend can never be. You are important and do not give up on finding love. Because there is someone out there who is perfect for you.
