Caressing: Skin, Soul, Spirit

Your face is a landscape,
lips curving like waves,
crashing and splashing as they wish,
with an energy unto themselves.

Your eyes mirror every sparkle,
every shimmer I know you see in the world.
They focus in, squinting…
with a teasing smirk,
I know I'm in the best of trouble,
for a lovely long while.

With that first deep breathe,
comes a lovely second, and by the third,
the silky sheets swallow you up.
They caress your other cheek as you
fold into them, coming undone
within them.

The arches in your hair,
wilder than the arches in your back,
I'm enchanted by their flare,
so impossible is it not to stare.

Beautiful, exciting, yes you are.
Your face is a landscape that goes so far,
outward and inward,
your soul has terrain,
your spirit has texture,
Letting me inside,
I run the course, relive the stories,
of every twitch, scrape and fall
…your skin is just the beginning of it all.
