I want to be alone, live alone because I do not want to hurt anyone.

Why do I feel like that?
Could it be that I know how much a human can hurt someone or because of my bad tempered? Whatever it is I dont want to hurt another human being? A stranger, a friend I can be kind since I can hold my sadness or anger in, and think properly in a mature manner… but someone close to me like my mother, my brother or in the future a spouse who will be beside me 24/7. I will have high expectation on them which I know they will not keep, they'll be times I'll be angry that I won't be able to control my feeling. And I truly do not want to do that. When I hurt them I feel horrible. So in order to not feel horrible, not to feel like a monster, not to hurt them, not to make them cry… it's better for me to be alone.

It's not that bad as it seems to be alone. In this 80 years of my life I'll focus on my spiritual growth, to grow kinder, to be more patience. I'll use my time to help other, give to charities and to be healthier. There will be no time to be mean since there will be no one to lash out. The only lashing will be done through meditation. It's not that bad to be single… society just has too much emphasis on romance and that life is complete if you found your 'one'. But I believe love comes in different form and to love someone such as any people and helping people, which in return you receive love, is the love I call having a fullfilled life.

Agreed you don’t need romance to have a fulfilled life but don’t close doors for yourself who knows maybe you’ll find “the one” but don’t just say no to say no from a dating or potential marriage standpoint. I do understand your view on self growth and not hurting anyone.
