Most people think the world will end by natural Disaster or some kind of alien take over or by some idiot with their finger on some mythical button, but I have a different take on it. I think life as we know it will end when someone figures out how to turn off the simulation (Like the Matrix). It is more sudden and less predictable like the other options. Life as we know it would end. Everything we have done or not done, People we have known, places we have gone, Things we have created or destroyed, all gone and we would wake up in a completely foreign world. For some this could be a great new start but for others a deep and dark sadness. To wake up and everyone you knew and loved gone would be “Hell on Earth”. This is the kind of thing the person or thing pulling the plug on the simulation would not take into consideration. Let’s say they are doing it for another reason though, they are doing it because their world was ending and they wanted us to know before we all died that it was all a fantasy cooked up in a computer, wanted us to see the real world before it all went away? I know, all sad possibilites but if there was a end to the world coming it would be the most sudden one to me. Don’t believe for a second some bomb will go off or a meteor will hit. These thing are all semi predictable. Being unplugged from a simulation… Who would see that coming??? …. Ok maybe me lol. Happy supposed End of the World Day!
