Sebastian sat up in bed, for weeks he had the same reoccurring dream that woke him suddenly in fearful tears. He looked for meanings of what the dream meant but all of the meanings seemed as meaningless as horoscope readings. He type into the search engine “dream doctors”. As Sebastian scrolled on one jumped out to him, it read Jocelyns exploration of repetitive dreams and dream state. He called the number and got an immediate response. “This is Jocelyn, I understand that you need to make an appointment. I knew you would be calling. When’s the soonest we can meet?” Sebastian responded, “I’m available tonight at seven .” He got the address and let out a sigh of relief. He arrived at the address a little bit before seven. It was in the county about 50 miles outside of town. There in the thick woods he could see a small, old, ran down house covered in moss. It was fall and the sun was almost setting. He got out of the car, he could hear the leaves crunch beneath his feet. As he turned to shut the car door he was startled by an owl in the tree above him waking from a days slumber. When he went to shut the car door a gust of wind blew by slamming the door even harder. Something was off about this place, this area, this meeting but he continued to walk closer to the door. As soon as he placed his hand to knock the door creaked open. “Come in, Sebastian”, said a lady with long dark brown hair dressed in a old, ragged black dress. She had many metal bracelets that jingled as she moved around. Sebastian was told to lay down on the couch and close his eyes. Jocelyn lit a few candles, sprinkled something around the couch where Sebastian was laying down. “Tell me about this terrifying reoccurring dream” said Jocelyn. Sebastian began to tell about his dream but as he described what the area look like he realized it looked all too similar to the place that he had just entered. He’s mind told him that it was just a coincidence and he continued to explain what creatures haunted him. He heard a loud noise and instantly opened his eyes. The room transformed there he sat in the exact location that haunted him for weeks. Someone was in the corner with their back to him. Sebastian called out to Jocelyn, “did you drug me? is this some trick?”. There is no response. Sebastian built up the courage to see who was standing in the corner. As this anonymous beast turned around he realized it was one of the monsters from his dream. He ran to the door, opened it and in fear was about to run out but then he realized that he was suddenly standing on the rooftop of his apartment building looking eight stories down. He could feel the wind blowing him, almost pushing him off the edge. He thought to himself it was all a dream, it was just the repetitive dream. He heard the jingle of the bracelets and two hands placed upon his back as someone shoved him. He was so confused and in fear. The long fall down taunted him with impending doom. Just before he hit the ground he woke from a repetitive nightmare that he had been having for weeks.
