All of you are going through tough times. I get that. I go to group therapy every Saturday as part of my recovery from anorexia. For my last session, the therapist had everybody in the room write down upon a scrap of paper their greatest current fear as well as a sentence. Any sentence. It doesn't have to relate to the fear, or anything. But it had to do with the person's identity at a personal standpoint. For example, I wrote down "Being alone. I think that snakes are fantastic." Each scrap of paper was put into a bucket and then one at a time was drawn and given to someone else. On the back, the receiver wrote down something comforting about the fear as well as a sentence respond in to the random one. In return, for example, I received "Give people hugs. Snakes are adorable and have gorgeous eyes."
I don't know why, but it made me feel just a tiny not better.
So for everyone reading, let's try. Write your current fear followed by a random sentence in the comments. Reply to the comments of others with something tiny and comforting and a sentence that responds to the original. Maybe it will make someone's day?
