I walked to our hill and you were standing there alone, you looked more than sad. I ran up the hill towards you and you turned around just as I tripped over my own feet. You looked at me and then laughed. I loved hearing you laugh, I loved seeing you laugh. I loved how your eyes lit up when you laughed and how your laugh could make even the worst day feel like the best. You walked over to me and helped me up. I could see it in your eyes, I could see the pain that you were in, the sadness that was killing you from the inside out. You smiled, but I knew it wasn’t real, Your eyes gave it all away. My heart was beating so fast I thought it would stop. My hands were shaking, my whole body was shaking! In that moment I knew, I knew that I loved you more than I had ever loved anyone else. At that moment you broke. The barrier that you had kept up for so long finely gave way. You broke down in front of me and it killed me seeing you like that. It wasn’t showing that you were weak!! It showed me that you had been strong for too long and now it is my turn to be strong and to help you as much as I possibly can, even if it means giving up everything that I have worked for; I promise to save you from a life of sadness. I love you to much to let you go.
