Love Work Family Friends Games Kids Life

Posted by on 2012/11/30 under Uncategorized

Alright, I’m 14 years old and I’m a sophomore in high school. I live in America although my mother is from Australia. I have the chance to do a year abroad in Australia, which means I’d be going to a great school that offers all the arts that I want, I’d be close to family, I’d meet new people, and the memories would change my life forever. I really want to do it, plunge right in you know? But then I think of the setbacks, I would have to leave my best friends for almost eight months, be friendless and the new kid for the first week, and unfortunately I’d be six months behind in junior year when I came back. I really want to do it, but there are so any steps and processes I have to go through, and it’s expensive. Any ideas on how I could clear my head, earn money, and be confident about change?
Thanks for listening

I think you should do this. It is a once in a lifetime chance and it’s worth the risk. Think about how amazing that would be for you. Something that you will never forget and I’d love to have that opportunity. Earning money is one of the hardest things. My friend did a fundraiser and garage sale for her trip to Europe and it seemed to work. Otherwise, you could help out a family member, sell something to people you know, or apply for certain jobs. Change is such a good thing and it helps you to become a better person. Do not worry about fitting in I promise you will because you seem like an amazing person! Relax and think about the possibilities. I hope you have a great time if you do in fact decide to go.
