Tomorrow is the last day Hanoi proves itself worthwhile for my visit .

Unscrupulous dealers and rude people are plentiful , more than any citiehttp://www.myhotpinkpassport.com/i-hate-hanoi/ttp://www.myhotpinkpassport.com/i-hate-hanoi/ I have ever visited. Its not a friendly city for older people ( my grandmother came along ) or even Asians ( Anglophiliacs in hotels that I have seen , serving only foreigners that doesn’t look like their kind ) .

Worst travel experience up to date . Being scammed by airport pickups , pushed away on streets , scolded by vendors for asking questions , hotel staff whispering among themselves while making facial expressions.

I am only happy with the accommodation , one particular Vietnamese restaurant , French at Green Tangerine and the pho down the street from my hotel.

I am sorry . I did try to love the city . But other countries like Thailand , Malaysia , Phillipines gave me better experiences.

How I wish tomorrow I could change my mind.

I did change my mind about Hanoi on my final day of visit We made our way through the outskirts and eexperienced more peaceful places.

Glad that Hanoi has places I could find appreciation in.
